Osteopathy
Gentle, whole-body treatment for pain, function and wellbeing
At Lockyer Valley Allied Health, osteopathy is at the heart of what we do — combining traditional hands-on care with a modern understanding of the body’s complex systems. Our osteopaths take the time to understand not just where you hurt, but why — working with your whole body, not just a single symptom.
We offer a gentle, skilled approach that’s suitable for people of all ages — from newborns to older adults — and tailor each treatment to your individual needs and goals.
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a regulated, government-recognised form of allied health care that focuses on how your bones, muscles, fascia, nerves, and organs work together. It is built on the principle that the body is a self-healing, self-regulating system — and when the structure moves well, the function improves.
Osteopaths use a combination of:
Gentle hands-on techniques such as joint mobilisation, cranial work, visceral (organ-related) techniques, stretching, and soft tissue release
Postural and functional assessments to understand how your body is compensating or adapting
Breathing and movement retraining, where relevant
Exercise, rehab and lifestyle guidance to support lasting recovery
We are trained to recognise when referral or collaborative care is needed and work closely with other health professionals to support you fully.
Our Approach
We know that many of our clients have tried everything — or feel like they’re just being told to “stretch more” or “relax.” At Lockyer Valley Allied Health, we do things differently.

We create realistic plans that work around your life
We treat you like a whole person, not a body part
Our care is trauma-informed, respectful, and based on strong therapeutic relationships. Whether you're coming in for a one-off treatment or long-term care, you’ll be seen, heard, and supported.

Who We Help
Our osteopaths have a particular passion for working with:
💠 Pelvic & Women’s Health
We support women at every stage — from menstruation to menopause, and everything in between. Our pelvic health approach is gentle and non-invasive, supporting issues such as pelvic pain, prolapse, incontinence, pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
👶 Babies & Children
Using extremely gentle techniques, we work with infants and children experiencing feeding challenges, reflux, unsettled behaviour, birth trauma, musculoskeletal tension, and developmental concerns. Our approach is informed by extensive post-graduate training in paediatrics, lactation, and tongue tie support.
🌀 Chronic Pain, Fatigue, POTS, MCAS, EDS
We specialise in working with people living with complex and multi-system conditions — especially when other providers haven’t been able to connect the dots. Our care is slow, supportive, and informed by up-to-date research in connective tissue disorders, dysautonomia, and neuroimmune function.
💪 Injury, Rehab & Recovery
Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing work-related pain, or trying to get back to moving well after surgery or illness, our osteopaths can help. We use hands-on care alongside rehabilitation in our small on-site gym, including Pilates-based exercises and strength work tailored to you.
