Our Team
Allen Phillips
Dr. Allen Phillips (BHSc Acupuncture, Adv Dip Acu, AACMA Member) is an experienced AHPRA-registered acupuncturist, known for his thoughtful, thorough approach to complex cases — from chronic pain and fertility to hormonal health and cosmetic acupuncture.
Allen holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture from Endeavour College of Natural Health and completed an intensive clinical internship at the Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medicine University in China. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Acupuncture and Chinese Remedial Massage, and is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA).
His clinical style weaves together acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, tui na (Chinese remedial massage), moxibustion, and Chinese dietary therapy, adapting ancient principles to modern healthcare.
Allen has a special interest in:
Pain relief, including chronic and acute musculoskeletal pain (with a particular focus on shoulder and neck pain)
Hormonal balancing and support through the fertility journey, pregnancy, and postpartum
Cosmetic acupuncture and dermatological conditions, drawing on global training and modern facial techniques
His advanced studies include time with global leaders in the field — including Mary Elizabeth Wakefield and Dr. Travall Croom (USA), Vivian Tam (Australia), and extensive training in Master Tung and Dr. Richard Tan’s Balance Method, world-renowned approaches to pain and internal medicine.
Prior to relocating to the Lockyer Valley, Allen was the principal acupuncturist and clinic director at Ki Acupuncture in Canberra and Youthful Dragon in Brisbane. His down-to-earth nature and clinical expertise have earned him long-standing patients, many of whom still travel to see him regularly.
Allen’s treatment philosophy is rooted in the traditional Eastern worldview — that the body, like nature, thrives in harmony and has the ability to heal when given the right conditions. He believes deeply in the importance of personalised care and works closely with each client to develop integrative, effective, and achievable plans.
Today, Allen co-directs Lockyer Valley Allied Health with his osteopath wife. Together they aim to offer deeply connected, hands-on care for real people — with time, warmth, and wisdom at the heart of their practice.
Katerina Annels
Katerina Annels (M.Ost, LC) is an osteopath with nearly two decades of experience and a clinical focus on pelvic health, paediatrics, postpartum care, and complex, chronic presentations such as MCAS, POTS, and fatigue syndromes. Her style is gentle and indirect, grounded in respect for the body's innate wisdom and the deep belief that healing happens when we feel heard, held, and understood.
Katerina completed her 5-year Master of Osteopathy in New South Wales, where she received both the Golden Key Academic Award and a Dux award during her studies. She was subsequently mentored at Australia's leading osteopathic clinic in Canberra, working alongside Maxwell Fraval, Cate McDonald, Jarrod Palprat, and Kirsty Greenwood — an experience that gave her a strong foundation in indirect, functional, and cranial osteopathy.
Her postgraduate training is extensive and continues to evolve. Katerina has undertaken advanced study in Visceral Manipulation with Jean-Pierre Barral, the Perrin Technique with Dr Raymond Perrin, Osteopathy in the Cranial Field, Balanced Ligamentous Tension (BLT), the Rule of the Artery, Orofacial Myology, Pain Science, Paediatrics, dry needling, and both internal and external pelvic floor assessment and treatment, among many others. This breadth of training allows her to meet each patient's presentation with precision, creativity, and genuine clinical range.
One of Katerina's deepest passions is supporting mothers and babies — from preconception through birth and the often-forgotten months and years that follow. She has provided care at multiple births and has advanced training in postpartum recovery, lactation consulting, and the treatment of babies with feeding dysfunction, tension patterns, and birth trauma. Her work is informed both by clinical experience and her own journey as a mother of two, navigating the realities of early parenting while maintaining a clinical practice — an experience that has only deepened her empathy for the families she works with.
Katerina's treatments often include breathing techniques that support both structural and emotional recovery — from regulating the vagus nerve to enhancing pelvic stability or calming sensory overload. She sees education and embodiment as central to health, and she encourages all clients to take an active role in their healing. She also draws on a life lived curiously and fully — including her training as a yoga instructor in India and years working as a chef — weaving movement, mindfulness, nourishment, and breath into her work when appropriate, especially for those navigating trauma, pelvic dysfunction, or fatigue syndromes.
She has practiced in Brisbane, Southern NSW, ACT, the Sunshine Coast, and spent two years travelling and treating across rural and remote Australia — experiences that broadened both her clinical range and her understanding of what it means to deliver care in communities where access is limited and trust is everything.
Today, Katerina co-directs Lockyer Valley Allied Health alongside her acupuncturist husband. Together they offer a warm, integrative space for people seeking true care — with time, depth, and genuine connection at the heart of everything they do.
Narelle Webb
Narelle Webb (MPhysio, BAppSc Human Biology, APA Sports & Women's Health) is a physiotherapist whose 20+ year career has been shaped equally by clinical excellence, lived experience, and an unwavering belief in prevention-based, whole-person care.
Narelle graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy from the University of Canberra and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Biology (with a major in Sports Science) from the University of South Australia, where she was awarded the Dean's Merit List and received the prestigious Golden Key Academic Award. Her training didn't stop there; she has since built one of the most comprehensive qualification portfolios in her field, spanning APA Sports Physiotherapy (Level 2), Women's Health and Continence, Paediatric Physiotherapy and Orthopaedics, APPI Clinical Pilates (including Pre and Peri Natal), GEMt Advanced Dry Needling, Thomas Myers Fascial Trains for the Hip and Pelvis, ICB Advanced Lower Limb Biomechanics, and Lymphatic Drainage, among many others.
Narelle describes herself as a symbiotic oxymoron: an intuitive scientist and a sporty nerd. This combination allows her to analyse and diagnose with rigour, while treating each person as a whole, not just a hip, knee, or shoulder. She brings the diagnostic precision of a physiotherapist, the hands of a massage therapist, and the foundational knowledge of a human biologist to every consultation.
Her career has taken her to the Australian Institute of Sport, national-level Gymnastics Championships through the Sydney Sports Medicine Centre, and elite teams including The Diamonds (Australian Women's Netball Team) and the Brumbies (ACT Super Rugby) — experiences that continue to inform her evidence-based, performance-aware approach to rehabilitation. She has also developed and written an RTO-certified Sports Massage Course for the Diploma of Remedial Massage, reflecting her commitment to shaping the next generation of practitioners.
In private practice, Narelle grew her Canberra/Queanbeyan clinic from a solo practice to a team of over 30 in under a decade — a testament to the trust she builds with patients and the communities she serves. She is an industry advisor, a recognised leader in women's health, hip and pelvis physiotherapy, and a passionate advocate for prevention-based care at both the patient and industry level.
Narelle's special interests lie in women's health, paediatrics, and the hip and pelvis — areas she has pursued not only through advanced clinical training, but through her own deeply personal journey. As an endometriosis warrior, cancer survivor, and mother/Stepmother to five children — including children with autism and complex medical needs — Narelle brings a rare combination of professional expertise and lived understanding to the women and families she works with. She knows what it is to navigate a healthcare system that doesn't always have the answers, and she shows up for her patients with that knowledge held gently, always.
Narelle is a mentor, an advocate, and a clinician who genuinely loves what she does. She believes that the best healthcare meets people where they are — and that prevention, education, and connection are as powerful as any treatment.
